The Role
Successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating the education programme within UHW Theatres. This will involve collaboration with Universities and other external agencies. They will work closely with the clinical educator, academy lead and clinical governance SCN.

What we'll need you to bring
1. Registered Nurse or ODP with valid Professional Registration
2. Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
3. Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
5. Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice.
6. Leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery.
7. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification.
8. The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative.
9. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Effective time management skills.
11. Working knowledge of basic information technology.
It would be great if you also have
1. Post registration experience
2. Demonstrable expert practice, with broad perioperative experience post qualification
3. Knowledge of the requirements for various students within the perioperative area
4. Knowledge of mentorship requirements and training
5. Demonstrate how they have changed practice
6. Ability to organise

Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based within University Hospital Wishaw.
