Our client is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Customer Service Manager. The Role The successful candidate will lead the Customer Service team. Key Responsibilities Support the Customer Service team in achieving and exceeding business growth objectives. Develop and manage strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business. Identify opportunities and threats in the market and provide strategic insights. Develop, analyse, and present service & sales reports to the Head of Sales. Monitor and analyse customer retention and cancellation trends. Directly interface with clients to resolve concerns and enhance service delivery. Manage contract and commercial operations, resolving any arising issues. Coach employees on best practices for contract and operational management. Conduct risk assessments and provide informed recommendations. Maintain and enhance a comprehensive database of sales and customer information. Benchmark competitor offerings to assess market competitiveness. Engage in customer feedback initiatives to ensure service excellence. Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns. Support customers in achieving waste management goals and industry recognition. Represent the company at trade and industry events. Prepare and deliver presentations to promote company services. Ensure accurate and detailed communication with the transport team, including specific customer requirements and potential hazards. About You Our client is looking for a proactive and motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service. Essential Qualifications & Experience: Educated to GCSE or NVQ standard with strong grades in English and Maths. A full UK driving license. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role Strong local geographical knowledge. Proven people management skills, with the ability to motivate and address performance issues effectively. Skills & Competencies: Initiative and problem-solving ability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong IT proficiency, including Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams). Strong financial and commercial acumen. Professional and effective relationship-building skills. High accuracy and attention to detail, particularly regarding Health & Safety and regulatory compliance. Ability to work effectively within a diverse business environment and independently manage responsibilities.
