We are looking for a Business Analyst – SCM to join our team in our Sutton, London or Westhill, Aberdeen office on an initial 6-month contract.
Business Analysis provides services to application development and enhancement projects. As a Supply Change Management (SCM) Business Analyst, you will identify and define the business needs of their clients and stakeholders whilst assisting to determine solutions to meet business needs or resolve business problems. The role may be part of an IT project development environment, or an individual contributor at the business interface.
You will be part of a global team in the Digitalisation function working closely with the SCM Function to define and develop global processes. Promoting business value through providing technical, functional, and consulting expertise to deliver the right skills, at the right time.
You will bring your business analysis and domain skills to join our Digital team in the UK working as one team together with IT and global functions.
With a focus on the SCM area, the role will work across multiple regional business functions at various levels to support business managers. You will be responsible for the identification and documentation of business requirements, working with technical teams to determine feasible solution options. You will actively manage the requirements through the end-to-end solution delivery lifecycle in line with the project objectives as part of the overall Digitalisation programme vision.
What will you be doing?
1. Responsible for the execution of the project(s) business analysis tasks using appropriate methods, tools, and technology.
2. Responsible for assuring functional design, resolves technical design issues and is accountable for solution design decision making.
3. Sound analytical skill and change management capabilities to work independently on transformation, improvement initiatives, liaising effectively with senior stakeholders and vendors on complex problems.
4. Describe technology in terms easily understood by business customers and set realistic customer expectations for the project outcome. Adjust customer expectations in accordance with changes in scope.
5. Work closely with stakeholders to build trust and understand their goals, motivations, constraints, risks, and operating environment.
6. Facilitating and leading workshops.
7. Business Process Mapping, Redesign & Blueprinting – predominantly in the SCM domain.
8. Support testing (developing test scripts & UAT test cases).
9. Potentially create training materials within the Learning Management System environment.
10. Ensure integration and adherence with the overall Digitalisation Global Process methodology.
What experience would we like you to have?

11. Extensive BA experience (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Agile BA, PMI-PBA).
12. Previous BA experience in SCM (ideally relevant to Subsea7’s core delivery).
13. Experience of using Business Analysis techniques and tools with significant experience in project deliverables.
14. Precisely capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements.
15. Translate business requirements into functionality and assess the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impacts of various solution options.
16. Experience working in geographically distributed teams.
17. Experience working in Agile Project Delivery.
18. Beneficial to have experience of managing complex data and analysis ( data modelling tools and techniques).
19. Previous experience in a transformation programme.
20. Ability to identify business and data challenges and work as part of a team to identify improvements or solutions.
21. Experience in Process Modelling methodologies such as BPMN.
