Job Description
Due to company expansion, my client is looking for a Crew Compliance Administrator in their Southampton office.
All applicants must live within commutable distance of Southampton and have the Right to Live & Work in the UK.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Senior HR & Compliance Manager in the day-to-day aspects of crew employment
* Monitoring of seafarer qualifications
* Ensure crew and vessels meet MLC employment requirements
* Provide administrative and compliance support with onboarding crew
* Regular monitoring and updating of yacht certifications
* Collect crew certificates and verify authenticity
* Managing documents
* Administrative support to the team in all areas of crew compliance relating to the employment and payroll of seafarers
Requirements:
* Experience within the maritime sector, particularly the Superyacht industry
* Knowledge of the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC, 2006)
* An excellent communicator at all levels and the ability to liaise professionally with colleagues, Captains, Crew and Clients
* High degree of attention, excellent administrative skills and capable of checking / recording information accurately
* English speaking
* Proficiency in all Microsoft packages including word, excel, SharePoint, etc
Desirable but not essential:
* Ability to speak another language
* Previous experience in crew employment
