Position: Associate, Corporate Audit Location: Cheltenham
About the Opportunity I am working with a leading national audit, tax, advisory, and consulting firm that is expanding their Cheltenham office and looking to recruit an Associate to join their Corporate Audit team. As an Associate, you will play a key role in delivering client-based assignments, coaching and leading team members, and managing client relationships. You will also be involved in the growth and success of the business unit, contributing to both business and people development within the team.
Key Responsibilities
Take responsibility for the planning, execution, and finalisation of audit assignments.
Provide solutions and seek input for any concerns or judgments during the audit process.
Act as a first point of contact for clients on a day-to-day basis, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
Assist in managing audit risk, understanding and applying relevant legal, regulatory, and business rules.
Oversee and review the work of junior staff, providing on-the-job coaching.
Demonstrate strong business development skills, identifying potential sales opportunities.
Produce high-quality work for review by senior team members and assist in identifying areas of improvement for clients' business processes.
Candidate Requirements
ACA/ACCA qualification (or studying towards it).
Significant experience in auditing and accounting, ideally with UKGAAP.
Experience working with corporate clients is desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and ideally CaseWare.
Strong communication skills and a passion for client service.
A proactive attitude and focus on achieving results.
