We are seeking a motivated and conscientious Apprentice who is interested in working in Financial Services and wishes to pursue a career in Risk Management.
The successful applicant will become an integral part of Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Framework & Reporting team (FRT). FRT maintains the overall Risk Management Framework and the Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) platform. The team is responsible for setting the group wide Risk Framework as well as a range of enterprise-wide risk management processes, including GRC system business support and reporting to Board and Executive Committees.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
As a Risk Apprentice you will support the team with the following key duties:
·Maintenance and administrative support of the company wide risk reporting system including system updates and changes
·Support the development, production and distribution of Non- Financial Risk reporting
·Support the maintenance and updates of relevant risk policies, frameworks and standards documentation for use across the business
·Supporting on other Non-Financial Risk and Operational Risk processes as required
·Working flexibly and building constructive working relationships with teams in the wider function and across the business
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
·Good and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
·High level of accuracy and good attention to detail
·Strong analytical skills in order toidentify key themes and suggest solutions
·Structured approach to work and very well organised
·Ability to quickly learn and assimilate key processes and procedures
·Moderate understanding of the MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). PowerBI is not essential, but beneficial.
·A proactive team player who is confident about working with others but also independently and can promptly escalate any issue and work remotely where required
Qualification Required:
As a minimum, candidate will have 5 National 5s or 2 Highers with good grades in Maths and English grades (A-C).
Future Prospects:
Upon completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities for career progression within our Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Framework & Reporting team or other relevant departments based on performance, business needs, and available opportunities.. If recruited into a permanent role, the individual will follow the career progression applicable to the specific role/department.
Training Provided:
As a Technology Business Analyst Apprentice with M&G, you will undertake the Business Administration SCQF Level 6 Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses
This is a fixed term contract for 15 months upon which the business may decide to retain, subject to the Apprentice performance, headcount, and available funding. If recruited into a permanent role, the individual will follow the career progression applicable to the specific role/department.
Salary : £22,000
