The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the food and beverage industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a fabricator welder - TIG to join the mechanical engineering division, supporting major mechanical installations across the Midlands and South of England.
Duties
1. Fabricate and TIG weld new metalwork and repair existing metalwork from technical drawings supplied by the design team.
2. Work with stainless steel and mild steel box section and plate, including one-off pieces that form part of larger installations such as bins, hoppers, frames, brackets, jigs, supports, guards, and pipe spools.
3. Utilize workshop plant and equipment including saws, drills, hole punches, guillotines, and laser cutters to form metal framework and sheet metal components.
About You
Based ideally in Northamptonshire, you will need to live within a commutable distance of NN10 6AR. Demonstrable experience of fabricating, sheet metal work, and TIG welding stainless steel pieces including stainless steel pipe spools within a workshop environment is essential for this role. MIG welding experience would be preferred but isn't essential as training will be given for this weld process.
