DN Colleges Group is looking for a dedicated and experienced Maths Lecturer to join our team. This role involves teaching GCSE and Functional Skills Maths on a range of further education courses, contributing to curriculum development, and ensuring the achievement of learning and teaching goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach Maths GCSE and Functional Skills Maths on various further education courses.
* Develop specific subject areas, prepare learning materials, and mark student assignments.
* Contribute to the management of learning programmes, including quality assurance and student guidance.
* Coordinate course teams and ensure effective delivery of curriculum and timetabling.
* Manage the classroom environment and assess students to meet their individual learning needs.
* Recruit and select students for relevant programmes and meet enrolment targets.
* Participate in the departmental annual Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and other quality assurance processes.
* Undertake mandatory and job-specific training and contribute to personal development.
Minimum Requirements
* Appropriate teaching qualification or substantial industrial experience (or working towards a teaching qualification).
* Relevant subject expertise in mathematics.
* Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification at level 3 in/associated with mathematics.
* Minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience in a lecturing or training role within the Further and Higher Education sector.
* GCSEs 4-9/A-C or equivalent in Mathematics and English.
* Experience of delivering GCSE Maths to re-sit students in an FE setting within the UK.
* Experience of delivering Functional Skills Maths at Entry level.
* Knowledge and experience of innovative learning and teaching techniques.
* Understanding of internal quality processes and procedures.
