Our business is growing, and we’re looking for talented and passionate people to join our team, whether you’re just starting out in your career or an experienced professional.
We provide front-end design and engineering capabilities across the Programme and Project Partners (PPP) portfolio. Being part of the PPP Team offers a unique opportunity to drive change and innovation in engineering, safety, and delivery solutions at one of the most complex industrial sites in the UK, if not the world.
The PPP's role is to help deliver a 20-year pipeline of major infrastructure projects as quickly and safely as possible, creating new facilities that enable Sellafield to treat, manage, and store waste safely for decades to come.
We are now recruiting Civil & Structural Engineers to work on various projects. Responsibilities include:
1. Producing calculation packages, CS&A documents, and contributing to multi-discipline documents (reports, calculations, BoD, PFS, etc.)
2. Providing structural substantiation for building elements (change of loading/area usage), e.g., concrete/steel structures, pipe bridges, etc.
3. Developing optimized, balanced, and practical design solutions considering safety, environmental performance, operational effectiveness, and constructability
4. Ensuring designs meet all functional, safety, and environmental requirements, are integrated with other disciplines, and preserve the design intent
5. Liaising with stakeholders, engaging with the design team, and attending meetings
6. Producing CDM Risk Assessments
7. Collaborating with the CS&A Responsible Engineer, Safety, and other engineering disciplines to meet project objectives and milestones
If you possess the following, we would love to hear from you:
1. Chartered Engineer with the IStructE or ICE (preferred)
2. Experience in static and seismic design of concrete (per ACI 318), steel, and masonry structures
3. Proficiency in Tedds and Staad Pro (advantage)
4. At least 4 years of relevant project design experience
5. Comprehensive civil and structural design experience, including alterations/modifications to existing structures and nuclear new build projects
6. Experience working within a highly regulated industry
7. Evidence of design capability working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Many roles offer flexible location options or hybrid working patterns, including part-time hours or a nine-day fortnight.
As a 'Disability Confident' employer, we will interview all disabled applicants who meet the essential criteria. Please inform us if you require any reasonable adjustments.
