1 year – Fixed term contract - Full time with some evening meetings, and occasional out of hours working supporting events.
We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Operations Officer to join our team through an exciting period of growth and innovation. You will serve as a member of a hardworking, energetic team assisting the Town Clerk and Assistant Town Clerk in the day-to-day management of Council operations. Your role will be critical in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations and people management of the Town Council. You will ensure efficient people management, smooth operational processes, compliance with policies and regulations, and effective coordination and collaboration across the teams.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement operational strategies. You will have 6 direct reports including the Administrative Support Officer, Committee Support Officer, Administration Assistant, Library Manager, Events and Widening Participation Manager, and Communications and Engagement Manager.
