As a Vessel Operations Engineer, you will provide support to:
* A fleet of vessels, of a similar type, on behalf of Vessel and Spoolbase Operations (VSO) with the objective of delivering safe, reliable and cost-effective Vessels meeting customer's requirements and expectations.
* A multi-disciplined team focused on ensuring that vessel systems integrity, marine integrity and operational efficiency is maintained resulting in successful delivery of vessels to execute iEPCI projects.
Job Scope As a Vessel Operations Engineer, you will assist the Vessel Manager / Deputy Vessel Manager with the following:
* General management of VSO operations, including the efficient and effective management of vessel activity.
* Ensure that the vessels are maintained fit for purpose and consistently meet the requirements as set within the organisation.
* Support initiatives to improve the QHSES performance of the assets.
* Support Business Unit PMT's and Vessel Execution Team to ensure the successful execution of vessel offshore operation.
* Liaise with the Vessel Execution Team to optimise the vessel spread and improve operational performance.
* Liaise with all VSO teams to ensure the assigned fleet has the personnel it needs to fulfil its obligations.
* Conjugate between Business Unit PMT's, Vessel Execution Team and Offshore Management Team.
* Ensure all vessel documentation is up to date and available to access.
* Lead Internal Vessel Assurance Process to ensure that all documentation is up to date.
* Support Client Vessel Assurance Process for all upcoming offshore campaigns to ensure vessel acceptance.
* Attend Vessels as required - in port and offshore.
* Maintain effective communications with external stakeholders., As a Vessel Operations Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
* Provide support to offshore crew liaising with all parties, particularly Offshore Management Team.
* Use Project Interface Standard as a tool to enable effective Interface with Business Unit PMT's and Vessel Execution Team.
* Focal point with Business Unit PMT's and Vessel Execution Team for all Vessel Management Operational Subjects.
* Facilitate technical queries from Business Unit PMT's & Vessel Execution Team as appropriate.
* Support Business Unit PMT's and Vessel Execution with Marine Operational Queries.
* Undertake periodic reviews of vessel documentation including brochure, specification, deck layouts, guidance documents, deck services, lift plans etc.
* Assisting with the development of SOPs and Lift Plan Database.
* Develop standard operation procedures and documentation in support of Vessel Execution Team.
* Owner of Vessel Portal Pages, ensuring that all vessel documentation is up to date and available.
* Facilitate closure of Client Assurance queries as part of Vessel Assurance Process.
* Purchasing & logistics planning for Food Stores, Bunkers, Berthing, Consumables, etc.
* Participate in and support mobilisation calls with Vessel Offshore Management Team, Business Unit PMT's and Vessel Execution Team.
* Chair Vessel Weekly Operational Call.
* Maintain Action Logs and Minutes of Meeting in support of the Deputy Vessel Manager.
* Mentoring and scheduling of Graduate Engineers within the team.
* Attend OPS Reviews & HIRA's as appropriate.

Qualifications (professional, technical, academic)
Essential:
* Relevant engineering degree.
Preferred:
* Bachelors/Masters in Mechanical Engineering.
* Bachelors/Masters in Naval Architecture.
* Electrical/Hydraulic/Mechanical technical training.
* Offshore / Vessel Management / Project Management experience.
Background and experience Essential:
* RGIT offshore training or equivalent.
* UKOOA offshore medical or equivalent.
Nice to have:
* Experience with subsea construction operations.
* Experience with Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Inventor.
* Experience with public speaking and presenting.
* Medical(s) as required (Offshore medical, Fitness to train etc.) Offshore Survival as required (OPITO, MIST etc.) Vaccines as required.
