Health and Safety Manager
Location: Bridgnorth
Type: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week – Office based
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (DOE)

We are excited to partner with a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation in their search for an experienced Health & Safety professional. This role would suit either an established Health & Safety Manager or someone looking to step up from a H&S officer/Advisor into a Management role where you will be accountable for maintaining and developing the H&S Management system and policies. The main focus of this role will revolve around the H&S management systems and processes, with some oversight of facilities management.
Responsibilities:
1. Create and uphold health and safety policies, processes, and practices.
2. Ensure that best practices and legal standards are upheld.
3. Ensure risk assessments, accident investigations, and near-miss reports are actioned, and corrective actions are implemented.
4. Collate and prepare H&S related stats and KPIs for reporting to SMT.
5. Identify hazards and risks, and implement preventative solutions.
6. Provide guidance on maintaining and enhancing safe working practices.
7. Communicate H&S practices and processes across the business and engage employees in best practices.
8. Drive sustainability and environmental initiatives.
9. Manage facilities maintenance schedules, sub-contractors, and services to ensure the safe and efficient running of the site.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Previous experience in managing Health and Safety systems and policies within a manufacturing environment.
2. NEBOSH level 3 or IOSH certification or adequate level of experience.
3. Experience in roles such as Health and Safety Manager / H&S Advisor / Health & Safety Officer is essential.
