Position: - Mechanical Technician
Location: Templecombe
The role:
Due to demand, we're looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our FMC business in Templecombe. The product range is diverse and you’ll have the opportunity to learn from a large, experienced and knowledgeable team and the opportunity to progress through the Manufacturing function or move into Quality, People Management or Engineering in the future, all of which is fully supported by Thales.
It would be brilliant if you have experience in building mechanical assemblies, as you’ll be performing manufacturing tasks in accordance with appropriate engineering drawings and documents.
Working hours:
The role is based out of our Templecombe manufacturing site. You will work a 4 day week Monday to Thursday and work 9.25 hours per day. Start time is flexible between 6:00am and 7:30am and you get 30 minutes unpaid for lunch. There is also free on-site parking and an on-site canteen.
What you'll do:
* Produce on time and to quality manufacture of mechanical assemblies
* Escalate blockers and issues to team Leader
* Escalate Health and safety issues to team Leader
* Ensure 5S standards are met
* Ensure any quality non-conformances are logged and escalated
About you:
* Good Communication skills
* Experience in mechanical environments
* Able to work as part of a team
* The ability to interpret a build pack (drawings and wiring diagrams)
* Eligible to obtain full SC clearance at UK eyes only
