POSITION SUMMARY:
Supporting our Scarborough site as an HR Business Partner at Alexander Dennis. Partner with stakeholders, drive employee engagement, and deliver strategic HR initiatives while providing expert advice on employment law and best practices. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
* Stakeholder Partnerships: Collaborate with stakeholders to align business needs with HR best practices, offering expert advice on HR policies, employment law, and performance management.
* Employee Relations: Manage ER issues, including performance, absence, and disciplinary matters, ensuring compliance and fairness while liaising with union representatives.
* Project Management: Lead HR initiatives such as recruitment, on boarding, employee engagement, HR systems, and restructuring projects.
* Employee Lifecycle: Oversee processes from recruitment to exit, driving engagement, talent management, and succession planning.
* Health & Well-being: Implement well-being initiatives, support mental health activities, and manage OH referrals.
* Performance & Development: Drive training, development, and performance reviews while managing STEM and community activities.
* Data & Reporting: Prepare and present KPIs and reports, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and data privacy (GDPR).
* HR Policies & Culture: Develop and harmonise HR policies, support culture change, and promote cross-functional collaboration.
* HR Service & Administration: Provide generalist HR support, cover payroll functions, and mentor the HR Administrator.
* Communication: Ensure adherence to communication standards and foster engagement across the business.
* Other Duties: Undertake additional tasks as required to support business objectives.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
* 2-3 years generalist experience at HR Officer or Advisor level essential
* Proficient and up to date knowledge of human resources management, ER and employment law
* Excellent IT skills are essential including all Microsoft packages e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* A flexible and adaptable approach to work to fulfil the requirements of the role
* A positive attitude, team spirit, collaborative and self-motivating
* Willing to go above and beyond to succeed, coupled with a positive nature
* An understanding of data and information sensitivity and confidentiality
* Excellent communication, influencing and relationship building skills to work effectively and collaboratively with key stakeholders
* Commercial awareness and business understanding
* Experience of working in a fast paced and changeable environment
* Creative thinking and the ability to work on own initiative
* Approachable, tenacious, results focused and effective
