We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic registered nurse to join the team within cardiology at Barts Heart Centre.
3C is a cardiac day case ward, open Monday to Friday 7:30am-8pm, comprising of a radial lounge, trolley and bedded area. Ward 3C cares for patients undergoing a variety of elective procedures, interventional and electrophysiology.
Barts Heart Centre is one of the largest specialist cardiac centres in Europe where we treat a wide range of patients and have one of the busiest heart attack centres (HAC) in the country. The ward is closely affiliated with the Catheter Laboratory department where we undertake elective PCI, complex ablation procedures, device implants and extractions and structural cases such as ASD closures for patients with congenital heart defects.
The post will provide an excellent opportunity to develop cardiology skills and basic knowledge specific to the area. We offer a robust training and education programme in-house and at university level. You will be supported by the senior nursing structure in both professional and educational development.
The aim of this post is to provide direct patient care and enhance the well- being of patients by developing specific clinical competencies and enhancing knowledge through a lifelong learning approach.
