In this Health and Safety Manager role you will be responsible for …. The ongoing development and introduction of new safety programs to ensure enforcement of those plans across the business. Be a visible presence in the business, building relationships with all departments at every level. Drive the culture embedding a robust structure through processes, procedures and the point above - strong relationships and communication. Working closely with the production plant teams. Staying ahead of any changes in legislation and advising the business accordingly. Leading the audit process ensuring regular safety inspections and audits take place resolving any resulting issues. Work in collaboration with the project managers on any improvement and cap ex projects. Act as an advisory when required in cap ex meetings. Support all strategic sustainability targets. Be the subject matter expert on site - a known and trusted figure. We need to see HSE candidates with the following backgrounds: Extensive experience in Health and Safety in manufacturing with a background in food or chemical or FMCG or pharmaceutical. NEBOSH qualified. Proven ability in influencing key stakeholders in Health and Safety management. An approachable and engaging style able to build and develop solid working relationships at ever level. Knowledge of current and future Environmental Health and Safety legislation. Proactive engagement with cross functional teams through clear and confident communication. Organised and attentive to detail. Self-motivated to consistently drive best practice. Familiar with manufacturing environments working closely with the production teams to support and advise.
