We have an opportunity for a practical individual to join a sustainable green space management company with a difference.
You will be joining the business as we continue to win work and contracts through our conscientious and sympathetic ethos to Grounds Maintenance. Working alongside the Director, you’ll be responsible for performing green space maintenance duties, delivering exceptional customer service to our customers, whilst doing the right thing by nature and the environment as you work.
You’ll have your own dedicated area, sites, van/truck, equipment, software package and administrative tasks that you’ll be responsible for. This role will give you a taste of what it’s like to run your own business, without the risk!

NatureSpace is a new type of Green Space Maintenance (GSM) company delivering innovative and sustainable amenity space management for our customers and local communities. Naturespace offers an all year-round, cost-effective open space maintenance and management service. From cutting grass, hedge trimming, to litter picking and play area inspections. We deliver an open space that YOU will be proud of, whilst promoting biodiversity on all sites that we work on.
We are green space aficionados, not gardeners or lawn treatment operatives. Our customers expect us to not only keep their open spaces looking the way they imagined, but also to do it in a sustainable and conscientious way for the environment and the nature that we work alongside.
The Role
As a (GSM) team leader, you will be essential to the business’s continued success. You’ll be performing maintenance tasks on each of our sites, at the same time upholding the presentation and reputation of Naturespace as a professional, conscientious Local Company.
Following a full technical, business and administrative induction, you will undertake practical tasks to do with looking after the open spaces that we maintain, including but not limited to: hedge trimming; brush cutting; grass cutting (pedestrian and ride/stand on); litter picking; branch lopping; pond, weed, vegetation & habitat management; basic maintenance duties (dependent on capability).
The Person - You
The right candidate will enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for the environment including the wildlife and ecology it supports. Applicants will be motivated, reliable with the commitment and competence to complete various activities and possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
You’ll be an ambitious, hard worker with a desire to learn all about the multiple facets of business management. You’ll be IT literate (or willing to learn) to use the reporting software systems that we’ll provide you with.

Qualifications/Experience (preferable, however what is important is the willingness and ability to do what is right as full training will be provided).
* Grounds keeping/care/maintenance experience
* Proficiency in landscape maintenance and operation of hand tools and power tools
* Familiarity with mechanical equipment and maintenance procedures
* Experience in construction, gardening, and horticulture
* Strong communication skills for team leadership and coordination
