Account Director – Commercial About the Role Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing insurance brokerage with regional offices across the UK. They are seeking an experienced and driven Account Director to join their Commercial Team in Leeds. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a book of business while developing a strong pipeline of new commercial insurance clients, ensuring full compliance with FCA regulations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in generating revenue, maintaining high levels of customer service, and delivering tailored insurance solutions that meet client needs. Key Responsibilities: Prospecting new business opportunities and generating leads. Attending client meetings and establishing strong relationships. Identifying client needs and recommending appropriate insurance solutions. Negotiating and presenting insurance policies to secure the best cover for clients. Delivering professional presentations and closing sales to ensure appropriate risk cover. Identifying cross-selling opportunities and securing referrals to enhance revenue. Managing and growing an existing client portfolio while ensuring high retention rates. Ensuring all activities comply with FCA regulations and company procedures. Handling client queries and complaints professionally and in accordance with company policies. Maintaining excellent customer service standards and fostering strong client relationships. Collaborating effectively with Account Handlers and other internal teams. Ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism in all client and insurer interactions. Requirements: Previous experience in an Account Executive or Account Director role within a brokerage environment. Strong track record in generating new business and maintaining an excellent client reputation. Comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance products. Experience in working within FCA compliance standards. Proficiency in insurance IT systems, ideally Acturis. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships. Awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements. Cert CII qualification (or willingness to work towards it.
