We are now looking to appoint a Project Surveyor. This role is a crucial part of the Housing Asset Team and focuses on the delivery of effective planned maintenance and project works service across the Councils’ Housing Property portfolio. The focus of the projects will be planned maintenance work on key elements such as kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, and heating. It will also include one-off projects covering specialist areas like passive fire protection, structural work, and energy efficiency measures.

About you
We are looking for someone who can ensure properties are maintained to a high standard and in accordance with all relevant legislation and has extensive experience in contract procurement and project management. You will deliver on projects and programmes and also understand the relationship between high-quality asset management and supporting the residents who live in them.
You will have in-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and related legislation, as well as knowledge of health and safety requirements in relation to FRA’s, asbestos, gas servicing, fixed wire electrical inspection, water hygiene, lift maintenance, and similar in the context of domestic premises. You will be an organised and creative thinker prepared to investigate and resolve issues as efficiently as possible.
