The Role:
Our client have recently reviewed their requirements and have identified a need for an experienced Engineer in either the Cambridge Area. This role will involve covering the Cambridge and Northampton areas, as well as Norwich and Hertfordshire. The role is made up of around 75% Servicing and 25% Installations.
A successful candidate will be competent in all disciplines - Fire Alarms, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and CCTV however, we are able to consider applicants who may have limited experience in one of these disciplines, but they would need to be prepared to train and develop in these areas.
Our client work on large CCTV, Intruder Alarm, Fire and Access Control projects and can offer job variety; they work on very high-end stately homes, large multi-million-pound properties, historic buildings, large commercial properties and public buildings.
Duties:
Servicing and maintaining various intruder, CCTV and Fire and access control systems. Demonstrate systems for customers and explain details such as the causes and consequences of false alarms. Carry out corrective and preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems and all other security systems Understanding the clients' needs and fulfilling all jobs required Maintaining fire & security systems in line with current standards and customer requirements Responding to demand service calls on all types of fire and security systems Updating documentation including site schematics/drawings (if applicable) Carrying out annual service visits and responding to incoming faults raised Applying updates and accurate descriptions of works completed via SIMPRO to inform office of progress. Securing signatures from client of completed worksRequirements:
Experience of front-line customer service will be preferential A Full UK Driving Licence You must be flexible to travel and be part of an on-call rota. This rota is 1 week in every 4. Due to the nature of the Fire & Security industry and specific contracts, if successful, you will need to pass several background checks including a credit check, five-year referencing history and DBS check. All offers will be subject to successful completion of these background checks.
