Production Technician - Mechanical
Pertemps Bristol is recruiting for mechanical production technicians to work within a thriving plasma technology business in Severn Beach, near Bristol. This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a strong teamwork culture where you will be building precision equipment that is used at the forefront of scientific research and development.
Salary: 31,000 - 35,000 d.o.e plus shift allowances (10% of basic for morning and 25% for afternoon shifts) - works out 36,425 to 40,425 d.o.e per annum basic.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, early / afternoon shifts rotate weekly.

About the job:
* Work on the assembly build of high-tech, cutting edge products.
* Build systems, sub-assemblies and piece parts for complex systems.
* Ensure that the requirements of the BOM and the customer specification are achieved.
* Identify and resolve build problems.
* Report technical issues and record using the FRACAS process.
* Detail fitting skills to precision level, including machining (typically milling and turning), vacuum and pneumatics and pipe bending with stainless steel.
* Train and guide less experienced technicians.
The right candidate:
* Time served Mechanical apprenticeship or City and Guilds part 3, or HND, HNC, or BTech level 3.
* Ability to read mechanical drawings.
* Ability to fault find and implement corrective action.
* Precision fitting and pipe bending skills.
* A good working knowledge of Swagelok.
* PC skills.
* Good communication skills.
