Job Title: Senior Software Developer
Salary: up to £56,000 per annum dependent upon experience
Location: Portsmouth
We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world’s leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as a Senior Software Developer. The role will be based in Portsmouth but offers the opportunity for hybrid working (2- 3 days per week on site) and flexible working hours. Individual circumstances can be discussed.
They work at the cutting edge of technology, creating more than 100 new inventions every year for customers in over 100 countries.
The company is currently updating a key product in their Under Water Weapons portfolio. To support this product development, manufacture and through-life maintenance, an Automated Test Solution is also being provided. The solution spans definition of test parameters, test generation, test execution on manufactured hardware and presentation of test results. You’ll be working in this small team developing a generic solution suitable for use on multiple products.
Main Responsibilities:
* Contributing to requirements definition of required data and software solutions
* Determine the design of required data and software solutions
* Data and Software solution implementation
* Software solution Testing
* Support to deployment of solution for use with customers

About You:
* Previous experience in the following:
* Data Modelling
* UML/SysML in appropriate tool (MagicDraw preferred)
* .NET Core (C#/C++/XML)
* ASP.NET
* MS SQL Server
You must be eligible to apply for SC clearance and, therefore, must hold a British passport and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years
