Exciting new role We are currently recruiting for a trusted client who are involved in the production of carbon-ceramic material and based in Merseyside. They are looking to add additional Process Engineers to the team. What you’ll be doing as their Process Engineer: Take lead in managing scheduled maintenance tasks on Heat Treatment furnaces, especially extended maintenance tasks such as retort repairs, rebuilds, graphite heating system repairs & rebuilds. Actively support and drive re-engineering projects in additional to ensuring regular checks and inspections of our furnaces. Ensure accurate records are maintained of extended maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and time spent, using company maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other designated tools. Drive furnace rebuilds and re-engineering projects. Perform periodic checks and verify performance of furnace safety systems. Condition monitoring, measuring and reporting on SAT and TUS test results. Ensure furnaces are operated in accordance with defined standards with skilled and qualified resource. Adhere strictly to SOP and WI, drive updates as and when necessary including machine FMEA’s. Drive set targets for heat treatment asset (including sub-systems) performance and efficiency. Support commissioning and final acceptance of new equipment. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others. Process optimisation and improvement. Data analysis and performance monitoring Process modelling and simulation Process control systems Statistical analysis and quality tools Applicants need to have a Degree level qualification in a materials, heat treatment or process engineering discipline and 5 years experience working on advanced process and heat treatment equipment, rebuilding, refurbishment and maintaining. Applicants need to have working experience from automotive and or aerospace manufacturing/heat treatment industry. Attractive benefits package Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 dependent on experience Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 2.30pm (some flexibility required)
