A role has arisen for a Commercial Financial Analyst to join a large complex business based in Bedfordshire. This role offers excellent progression and hybrid working options. Responsibilities: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain. Act as a trusted advisor, providing financial guidance and challenge to business decisions. Collaborate with commercial teams on budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. Analyse and interpret financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Support the development and implementation of commercial strategies and initiatives. Conduct detailed analysis of product profitability, pricing, promotions, and customer performance. Evaluate new business opportunities, including product launches and market expansions. Assess the financial impact of marketing campaigns and promotional activities. Monitor and analyse competitor activity and market trends. Prepare monthly management reports, including variance analysis and commentary. Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls within the commercial function. Implement best practices in financial reporting and analysis.Qualifications & Experience: Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent). Proven experience in a commercial finance role within the FMCG industry. Strong understanding of financial and management accounting principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modelling. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
