Engineering Team Leader Location: Thetford Salary: £53,812.50 per year ⏳ Shift Pattern: 07:00-19:00 / 19:00-07:00 (4 on 4 off, rotating AM/PM shifts) Department: Engineering Reporting to: Engineering Shift Manager Job Purpose: As an Engineering Team Leader, you will play a key role in leading and guiding the engineering shift team, ensuring all maintenance and engineering activities are completed on time and in full. You'll be hands-on, attending breakdowns and planned works, while also ensuring seamless communication between shifts through structured handover meetings and reports. Your leadership will drive efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement within the team. Key Responsibilities: Lead from the front, attending breakdowns and supporting planned maintenance. Oversee and guide a team of 4 engineers to deliver daily work plans. Participate in engineering handover meetings at the beginning and end of each shift. Create and send detailed shift handover reports to ensure clear communication. Ensure all engineering activities are logged accurately in Shire CMMS. Manage spare parts usage-ensuring they are booked out correctly and ordering replacements where necessary. Identify and implement opportunities for performance improvement across the plant. Communicate effectively with site operations teams, keeping them informed of engineering activities and expected timeframes.
