Lead ABL Business Development Director – Invoice Finance

If so, then being a Lead ABL Business Development Director in the Metro Bank Invoice Finance Team could be the role for you!
This is an exciting opportunity to support the launch of two new Invoice Finance products to the market. From day 1 you will be providing expert level knowledge on both Asset Based Lending & Trade Finance, ensuring our new products are fit for purpose. You will engage with the market to build amazing relationships and secure new business opportunities, and so you will need a strong network within the Debt Advisory and Private Equity markets as well as a detailed knowledge of Asset Based Lending and Trade Finance. This role will report directly into the Director of Invoice Finance and you will be given the opportunity to build a team of your own.
So what would you be doing?
* Work as part of the Senior Leadership team within the Invoice Finance business to shape and launch our ABL and Trade Finance proposition
* Creating FANS, working with a range of Introducers and prospective customers to tell them about our amazing Invoice Finance proposition with a specific emphasis on ABL and Trade Finance
* Building amazing relationships with your internal colleagues to provide our customers with a first-class experience across all areas of Metro Bank

* Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Asset Based Lending and ideally also Trade Finance solutions
* Have an established network of introducers within the Debt Advisory, Private Equity and Professional advisor community, probably centered around London and the South East
* Demonstrate a passion for understanding and getting to know about the funding needs for all of our customers – both existing customers and customers that are new to the Bank. With every interaction we need to make sure we are creating FANS for life
* Ability to think strategically, planning every move to make sure you can make a major contribution to the success of these new product areas. Once the plan is in place, you need to stick to the plan to ensure that we are acquiring, keeping and growing our customers
* Be able to transform your role into a leadership role, ultimately building a team to support the ongoing growth of this new proposition
