The Category Expertise Center Leader will lead and coach a globally distributed team sourcing strategies for semiconductor components, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving cost reduction initiatives while partnering with internal and external stakeholders. Drawing on your many years semiconductor components ecosystem knowledge this is an excellent opportunity to help shape our current and future products.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Leading a global team in developing and executing a cohesive category strategy in the semiconductor components space your team will focus on developing a supply base to meet the ever-changing requirements of this category including analysing market trends and environment helping develop our commercial strategic direction within this ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
* Solid line manager for all assigned Category Managers in the CEC responsible for handling people's day-to-day topics. Supports, develops, coaches and grows the team (competence and career development, engagement, inclusion and diversity, feedback and recognition, wellbeing)
* Ensure team members have right capabilities to secure current and future business needs
* Managing teams' workload and syncing team members across all projects
* Translate Master Category strategy into team direction and objectives
* Ensure CEC Team is operating according to Nokia Essentials, People Strategy and Culture
* Co-owns the identification of supplier managers/SRMs with respective SSMs
* Agrees & monitors the KPIs with SSMs and MC head, and ensures understanding of and contribution to KPIs by the team
* Ensures and promotes best practices among the CEC community
* Helps team members exchange ideas, to seek help in project or problem statements, and discuss new technologies or methods
* Has a great knowledge and experience of the semiconductor component ecosystem including its key technical elements market trends and developments, supported by the Strategic Sourcing Manager community.
* Develops further CEC ways of working incl. tasks automation, introduction of AI, tools and advanced task management approaches for more efficient management of pooled tasks & remote resources.
* Develops the capabilities cross CEC members where applicable towards a project driven organization instead of a supplier driven organization.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in business or engineering
* 5 years+ experience in semiconductor components sourcing and negotiating direct materials using strategic category management techniques drawing on your semiconductor ecosystem experience at a global level
* Significant supply chain and category management understanding within a global context, 10 years+
* Internationally experienced people manager with a track record of leading and coaching a diverse team that includes highly to less experienced team members. Ideally 10 or more direct reports globally.
* Experienced working in highly complex international matrix style organisation
* Regularly presented to internal and external stakeholders at C-Level
* Excellent professional level of English verbal and written
