Personal Assistant / Legal Administrator

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 DOE
A successful independent Scottish legal firm, with a strong focus on private client and property-related legal services, is seeking an experienced Personal Assistant/Legal Administrator to support its Private Client team in their Edinburgh office. This firm operates across four core sectors: Private Client, Land & Rural Business, Renewable Energy, and Commercial Real Estate, offering a comprehensive range of legal services across multiple practice areas. The firm’s team of over 150 Partners and staff provides services to a wide array of clients.
The Private Client team is a key area of focus for the firm, offering a broad spectrum of services including wealth protection, tax and inheritance planning, trusts and executries advice, as well as wills, probate, executry, and tax compliance services. The team serves high-net-worth individuals, the elderly, and family-owned and SME business owners.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in a similar position, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment, and a strong understanding of private client practices. The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative and secretarial support, ensuring the smooth operation of the team and delivering exceptional client service at all times.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, proactive team player who is skilled in prioritising tasks to a high standard. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build and maintain collaborative, professional relationships. Attention to detail is critical, as is the ability to produce audio-typed documentation such as letters, reports, and presentations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required.
