Blair West is supporting challenger bank Atom as they look to add further capacity and skill to their Regulatory Reporting Team. This is a Senior Regulatory role reporting into the Head of Financial Control & Reporting, which will see you lead a team of 5 talented individuals.
The opportunity:
1. Lead the regulatory reporting team, with responsibility for their ongoing development and progression.
2. Contribute to the production and submission of all prudential and statistical regulatory returns.
3. Oversee judgements and key decisions and ensuring these are adequately documented and governed.
4. Maintain a robust control environment and high performing team culture, including driving continuous improvement.
5. Drive the change agenda to automate the reporting process with a view to increased efficiency and control and improved speed of reporting.
6. Stay up to date with regulatory developments to ensure Atom remains compliant with its regulatory reporting requirements, including horizon scanning for future changes.
7. Ensure regulatory reporting policies and procedures are well documented and maintained.
8. Become the business's trusted advisor in assessing and optimising the regulatory implications of new business activities and transactions.
9. Produce monthly regulatory MI for the Executive Committee and the Board.
You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you're someone who:
1. Possess an accounting qualification e.g., ACA, ACCA.
2. Has extensive regulatory knowledge and experience of regulatory reporting including prudential and statistical regulatory returns, including but not limited to COREP, FINREP, LIQREP (e.g., LCR, ALMM, PRA110), Bank of England statistical reporting and other PRA returns.
3. Has the ability to lead and to drive change.
4. Portrays coaching skills and experience managing a team of finance professionals.
5. Has strong Excel modelling skills.
6. Has very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Has good communication and team-working capabilities.
