Applications are invited for the post of Senior Clinical Research Fellow (Post-CCT) in Adult Inherited Metabolic Disease for a period of 24 months at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH).
Main duties of the job
This is a 24-month clinical research post, based in the inherited metabolic disease group at CUH, designed to give the successful applicant practical research experience related to adult patients with inborn errors of metabolism. The focus of the post will be to carry out data analysis related to long-term outcomes of treatments for Gaucher disease and Fabry disease. The successful applicant will gain experience in handling of real-world clinical data, including medical imaging, statistical methods and manuscript preparation.
The post will also give the opportunity to attend 1-2 specialist outpatient clinics per week according to the research topic chosen.
Minimum requirements
Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
