New Directions Education are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis in a variety of SEN schools in Flintshire. We are looking for a compassionate, adaptable, and dedicated Supply Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role will involve working in various ALN settings to support our students when regular staff are absent.

Role and Responsibilities:
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to work across a range of ALN settings, providing support to students with different learning needs. You will collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure that every student receives the individualized attention they require. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting students with a variety of Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in different classroom settings.
* Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning plans, ensuring students' needs are met in both 1:1 and group activities.
* Adapting your approach to suit different ALN settings, including working with students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and more.
* Helping to prepare resources and materials based on the specific needs of students and the teacher's instructions.
* Encouraging students to develop independence and confidence, supporting their academic and personal growth.
* Promoting positive behaviour and helping manage classroom dynamics in a way that fosters a supportive learning environment.
* Supporting students with personal care needs and ensuring their emotional well-being throughout the school day.
* Providing feedback to teachers and other staff members about student progress, challenges, and achievements.
* Being flexible and ready to support in various classrooms and settings as needed, maintaining a consistent and caring approach.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* A genuine passion for working with children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
* Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly in an educational or care environment.
* Ability to work flexibly across different ALN settings and adapt your approach to meet the specific needs of students.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with students and staff at all levels.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
