We are recruiting for a Anti-theft Engineer / Vehicle Crime Specialist for our UK customer.
Objectives
The Senior Physical Vehicle Security role is a varied and highly visible role within the wider Vehicle & Connected Cybersecurity team. It is critical to the success of vehicle programs such that legislated anti-theft obligations and territorial insurance-industry led requirements are met, and in addition, vehicles are adequately resilient, per market, to the multitude of real-world theft risks. This role requires working with cross functional teams from initial concept through to OPD actions and TVM opportunities. Additionally, identifying new security centred revenue streams and supporting existing anti-theft accessory programs forms part of the role. The role also encompasses some external liaison with, for example, law enforcement, insurance loss adjusters, Government agencies, Government ministers and trade associations. This is a unique role that offers the successful candidate the opportunity to make a difference in helping to deliver physical vehicle security performance that rewards the customer and thwarts the thief.
Position description:
1. Assess designs for resistance to theft attack in line with Thatcham NVSA criteria, appropriateness of specification to IG rating requirements
2. Perform physical theft attacks
3. Maintain and author Requirements, and track programs through gateways to release
4. Organise design reviews with Physical theft / security expert for signoff

Fully up to speed on and able to demonstrate Thatcham requirements, physical vehicle attacks, lock picking, electronic attacks to a high standardMust fully understand the IG rating systemMust be mechanically proficient and diagnostically aware.
Skills preferred:
In addition, dealer level diagnostics experience – but not essentialCAD proficiency – but not essential
Experience required:
5 years + working in tackling vehicle crime, stolen vehicle examination, working with insurance agents and vehicle / component ID
Experience preferred:
In addition, experience using diagnostic tools to identify vehicles and parts
Education required:
Engineering Degree or equivalent life experience
Education preferred:
MSc in a related subject
Additional information:
The role will entail an amount of physical “on the tools” work, and as such the candidate should be both adequately skilled with hand tools, and able physically to perform the tasks, which can also involve lifting.
Hybrid working: at least 3 days per week on site
