Job Description
Our client is an international law firm looking for a pragmatic and flexible Resource Manager – Work Allocation to join their busy and growing Resource Management team in their London offices on a permanent basis.
Working directly with Partners and Lawyers and helping embed Resource Management in a new practice group.
The main responsibilities for the Resource Manager – Work Allocation will be to support file allocations, capacity & utilisation tracking and helping to provide operational excellence.
Salary, £65k-£80k.
KEY DUTIES INCLUDE:
* Demonstrating good knowledge of the relevant practice areas and being proactive in relation to the supply and demand challenges of the business.
* Maintaining the skills matrix, demand, and capacity tracker and providing visibility to key stakeholders.
* Ensuring accurate forecasting of individual activity by tracking activity data.
* Delivering the day-to-day requirements while balancing these with the career development needs of the Lawyers.
* Working with key stakeholders to optimise headcount, oversee joiners, leavers and secondments, smooth utilisation and being aware of the impact on employee engagement.
* Delivering the business needs in an efficient manner by optimising the work allocation to maximise profitability while considering personal development plans and individuals' wellbeing.
The Resource Manager will have experience in resource management, workforce planning, or a similar role ideally within a large professional or corporate environment. It is essential to possess strong interpersonal, team working and attention to detail skills. The right candidate will have outstanding stakeholder engagement skills at all levels, provide balanced, pragmatic advice around manpower planning and be highly proficient in all Microsoft Applications. The Resource Manager will have exceptional communication skills while being credible, confident & positive professional.
