Your new role
Your key responsibilities will be:
* As part of a team, deliver the structural engineering design of projects in diverse sectors and scale from £5M to £50M.
* Ensure our designs are technically accurate, efficient in form and materials to reduce embodied carbon to a minimum.
* Practise innovative design, so that we provide the best service and holistic building outcomes for our clients.
* Assist the management of your project team of engineers and technicians through proactive support and collaboration.
* Keep up to date with your technical skills through training provided by Ramboll and through self-learning, as expected of a Professional Chartered Engineer.
* Delight our existing clients and collaborators through enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude in all our engagements at all project stages.
About you
For this role, we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success:
* You will be a Chartered Structural Engineer with at least 8 years of experience.
* Educated to a degree level or equivalent in structural/civil engineering.
* Relevant experience and insight in a variety of sectors such as schools, higher education, residential, commercial, or industrial development.
* Experience of delivering accurate and innovative structural designs using a host of analysis, design and modelling tools.
* A good team player, able to work collaboratively within large teams on large projects, and comfortable to work independently on smaller projects, under supervision, but with wide-ranging responsibilities for all aspects of design.
* An ability to design conceptually, with an appreciation of multi-discipline coordination and known for delighting architects through capture and development of their ideas.
* Be an effective communicator, both written and verbally.
* Be familiar with techniques for planning resources and able to perform within agreed commercial targets.
