This is an exciting Apprenticeship opportunity within the HR team at Ipswich Borough Council and is the perfect role if you are interested in exploring a career in with local government. We are a small friendly and welcoming team who work well together and will support you on your journey to a new career.
As an Apprentice you will be part of a busy team providing effective administration support in a wide range of activities, including recruitment, learning and development and payroll. Alongside this you will also be the first point of contact to deal with general enquiries ensuring a high standard of customer service is provided.
We will support you to undertake either a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration or Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship (CIPD) which includes up to 6 hours a week dedicated to undertaking work for your qualification.
This Apprenticeship is 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday and is offered on a fixed term for 18 months. The post is based at Grafton House in Ipswich. You will be required to work 2 days a week in the office (usually a Tuesday and Thursday).
You will enjoy working with people and understand the importance of excellent customer service working in a confidential environment.
Being able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills, IT skills and be confident dealing with enquiries by telephone, email and face-to-face.
Able to work as part of a team and have a positive “can do” attitude.
Self-motivated flexible and reliable.
Willing to learn and undertake training and follow instructions.
