80358 - SAP Payroll Reporting Analyst
This SAP Payroll Reporting Analyst will report to the Payroll Supervisor and will work within Reward and HR Services based in our Crawley office. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of dependant on your experience and a bonus of 7.5%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) - 3 days in the office and 2 remote

Job Purpose:
You will run and develop reports from SAP to meet auditing requirements in a timely and accurate manner, whilst complying with our policies and statutory requirements. You will also manage all payroll user acceptance testing and reporting purposes.

10. Main working relationships Internal - local HR, audit, finance, legal, managers and employees External - HMRC, governmental and non-governmental organisations
11. Decision-making responsibility within the framework of UK Power Networks payroll procedures and payroll best practice
12. Develop payroll procedures to ensure best practices are maintained
Principal Accountabilities:
13. Run and develop reports from SAP to meet audit requirements
14. Undertake annual patching and related activities including Year End and Start of Year activities
15. Maintain SAP tables
16. Ensure new SAP configuration and system upgrades are tested thoroughly to ensure no issues occur in the live system
17. Manage the Small Wok Order process for the Human Resources directorate
18. Maintain the relationship between the business and third party IT support
19. Manage the IT Incidents queue for payroll and ensuring Service Level targets are met
20. Provide support to the team and Payroll Supervisor to ensure that all payroll activities, including transactional processes, compliance activity and reporting processes are completed in a timely and efficient manner. This includes but not limited to:
21. Reconcile third-party payments on a monthly basis Answer enquiries in a timely professional manner Assist in data integrity issues and auditing of time entry claims Prioritise your daily workload, so that the most business and employee critical activities are addressed
22. Take a role on behalf of Payroll in system development and improvements affecting the processing of data and contribute to the introduction of new processes.
23. Train to an appropriate calibre to meet the needs of the role.
24. Be a trusted contact within the payroll team, delivering and advising on payroll issues and communicating with employees, other team members and managers to ensure that service expectations are met
25. Contribute to service development and process improvement and participate in projects where required
26. Protect UK Power Networks from fraud and reckless overpayment
27. Manage payroll information in a manner which protects the employee’s data inline with Data Protection best practices
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience
28. Experience of SAP Reporting
29. Knowledge of Query Manager 4
30. Experience operating SAP payroll procedures and best practice including, but not limited to, PAYE, GAYE, SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, NI, court orders, student loans, CSA orders and occupational sick and maternity pay
31. Knowledge of payroll and company procedures and agreements
32. Knowledge of SAP system including HR and payroll (advantageous)
33. Relationship management skills
34. Ability to communicate complex payroll matters clearly - both verbally and in writing with employees, team members and managers to ensure that service expectations are met
