Yokogawa Marex has an exciting new opportunity for a highly driven Project Manager. Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for the project management of software development and deployment projects, delivering solutions to our global customers in the process industry. We are looking for an experienced project manager, team leader or someone who is looking to make that next step in their career into project management (for example and assistant project manager, or software developer with experience of leading a team). You will build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the global Yokogawa organization and support the Yokogawa Marex Management Team to achieve company goals and objectives. Yokogawa Marex, a Division of Yokogawa UK Limited, is a specialist software solutions company developing and delivering software solutions providing valuable insights and actionable information to operate facilities effectively, efficiently, and safely in a profitable and more sustainable way. As a Project Manager you will be: Managing software development across multiple projects Defining and developing detailed project plans, schedules and milestones Managing and allocating resources in collaboration with stakeholders Managing project schedules, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies Managing and reporting on all financial aspects of the project Preparing and presenting progress reports, and status updates to stakeholders Conducting post-project evaluations and determining recommendations for future projects Implementing best practices, tools, and methodologies to improve project outcomes Managing the day-to-day activities of the project team We are looking for a colleague with: 5 years of experience in a technical environment Organizational skills to handle multiple projects Experience in team management Experience in cost estimation, budgeting and control Experience of time management, scheduling and planning Experience of contract and stakeholder management High levels of compliance Negotiation skills Experience of standard Microsoft Office applications Self-motivated, methodical and conscientious Enthusiasm, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), be customer focused, thrive on problem solving, have the desire for continuous quality improvement and be a team player Desirable but not essential: Prince 2 or equivalent qualification Degree in Computer Science or similar qualification Experience of managing software projects Experience of working with software development teams Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management System Awareness What you can expect from us: Working in our office in Cowes, on the Isle of Wight. 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with flexibility required to meet customer and business needs. A permanent contract with a competitive salary, depending on experience.
