An opportunity has arisen for an outstanding candidate to join our Battery Systems Department and support the delivery of our battery test & sign off activities across all electrification programmes at WAE. Innovation is at the heart of what we do and you’ll be an integral team member supporting an incredible and diverse client base.
Job role:
* Owning & maintaining test procedure documentation
o This includes Battery Module & Pack level electrical test activity
o This is focused on supporting DV & EoL test activity
* Engaging with relevant engineering teams to collate relevant inputs
* Determining test requirements, assisting with test setup & running of test activity
* Identifying issues during testing & helping to resolve (a combination of remote & in person as required)
* Reviewing test data & using automated scripts to create reports
* Collating all data/reports and maintaining tracker documentation
* Identifying issues with results & reporting to the relevant teams
* Determining limitations to test procedures / activities and looking for continuous improvement opportunities
* Staying up to date with state-of-the-art cell technology
* Working in line with WAE HaV safe procedures of work
* Identifying test equipment needs & maintaining existing equipment
* Engaging with stakeholders at all levels of WAE as required
* Representing WAE externally at external test house locations
Location:
* WAE Kidlington / WAE Wantage / External test house support as required
You’ll have:
* A relevant qualification in Electrical or Automotive Engineering with relevant work experience
* Hands on engineering approach
* Knowledge of key battery technologies
* Experience in setting up & supporting battery test activity
* Some level of experience in battery data analysis using tools such as MATLAB, CANalyser, Atlas or equivalent
* Experience diagnosing issues during running of test activity & implementing solutions
* General Familiarity in HV battery systems
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
* Ideally drivers license for supporting test activity at multiple locations
