Our school is seeking a dynamic EdTech Teacher to lead the integration of digital literacy, Robotics, and Coding in the Foundation and Intermediate Phases (Grades 3 to 7).

We are looking for a qualified and forward-thinking educator who possesses:
1. a relevant university degree or professional teaching qualification;
2. a valid SACE Registration Certificate;
3. a clearance certificate in terms of the Sexual Offenders Act;
4. proven teaching experience in Computers, Robotics, and Coding at the Foundation and Intermediate Phase level;
5. a working knowledge of the CAPS curriculum;
6. excellent verbal and written communication skills;
7. a self-motivated, organised, and collaborative work style;
8. strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and mentor colleagues in digital learning.
Essential Skills and Attributes
1. advanced ICT skills and a natural ability to incorporate technology into both teaching and administrative practice;
2. proficiency in Apple and Microsoft platforms, including tools such as iPads, MacBooks, Microsoft 365, and Teams;
3. familiarity with Learning Management Systems (e.g EdAdmin) and their use in tracking progress, managing assessments, and facilitating communication;
4. a strong interest in STEAM education, especially Robotics, Coding, and problem-based learning;
5. a mindset of a lifelong learner and reflective practitioner, who embraces technological change and seeks continuous professional growth;
6. a deep understanding and active contribution to the Christian ethos and values of our school.
Undertake the following Responsibilities
1. teach Computers, Robotics and Coding in Grades 3 to 7;
2. mentor and guide the development of ICT skills among pupils and staff across the school;
3. lead integration of EdTech tools and methods into the broader curriculum;
4. collaborate on tech-enhanced learning initiatives and curriculum planning;
5. contribute to the school’s extramural programme through sports, clubs or enrichment activities.
Involvement in the School
1. attend and contribute to weekly staff meetings;
2. participate actively in staff development initiatives;
3. be present at parent-teacher meetings, school events, assemblies, and celebrations;
4. share in the everyday duties and responsibilities that build a vibrant school community;
5. uphold and model professional behaviour at all times.
Selected candidates will then be given a week to send a detailed CV, a letter of application, a copy of qualifications and the names of at least two referees.
