As a HR advisor you will provide effective and comprehensive support to line managers within GXO Rushden in all aspects of Human Resources. To meet the immediate and long-term needs of the site and to develop and deliver the HR Strategy in line with the agreed People Plan for the site. This position is being offered on a full time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00. You’ll also have access to our MyBenefits platform offering a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more What you’ll do on a typical day: Provide quality advice and consultancy support to line managers on employee relations, including managing discipline and grievance cases, performance management, supporting with investigations, meetings and appeals. Review, streamline and where practical develop HR processes/procedures/guidelines to maximise efficiency Manage the full range of HR activities within the employee lifecycle (new starter process, current employment to termination of employment) Ensure that company standards and policies & procedures are effective and are implemented on a consisted basis across the site What you need to succeed at GXO: Proven experience in a similar HR Advisory role, ideally CIPD qualified Good working knowledge of Employment Law; excellent knowledge of HR Policy, Practice, Employee Relations and Change Management approaches Must have experience of multi-site operations and a good commercial focus Excellent written and verbal communication and able to adapt communication style to different audiences We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
