Role Purpose Our Product Analyst will support development of Smart Data Foundry Products and Services, working closely with Engagement, Strategy and Marketing. Responsibilities Support Product Strategy / Road-map Researching and collating materials on market and competitor analysis to inform product strategy. Translate data into actionable insights to guide decision-making and product roadmaps. Product Delivery and Improvements Analyse product performance metrics (including user behaviour patterns) and user feedback to identify product improvement areas. Work closely with the Engagement Team to identify user pain points and improvement areas. QA and testing of product features, prioritising issues according to value and customer need. Work closely with Product Owner to support product delivery. Define and create backlog user stories and epics for product features. Attendance at product related meetings, incl. daily standups and weekly meetings to ensure timely product input. Stakeholder Management and Communication Communicate with users at different stages of the product and delivery lifecycle e.g. reporting delivery progress; gathering requirements; on-boarding; escalating user issues Internal stakeholder management with Engagement, Strategy, Marketing and Delivery teams to support all stages of product life-cycle. Skills and Experience Essential Skills A solid understanding of data centric products and services. Understanding or experience in agile ways of working. Ability to act as internal voice of the customer, anticipating and advocating for user’s needs. Ability to communicate effectively with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders, both internally and externally. Able to articulate complex technical ideas as actionable user stories and epics. Sound judgement on escalating product issues, and identifying product quality issues with potential causes and solutions. Self-motivated and proactive. Beneficial Skills Experience working with data-driven products in a product analyst or business analyst role. Experience / strong knowledge of agile and product methodologies. Experience working with jira, github, miro or similar tools. Ideal candidate will have a few years experience. Location This role is based in our office in Edinburgh Futures Institute in Edinburgh, therefore, candidates must be within commutable distance or willing to relocate.
