You have significant experience in local or central government or another major public sector organization, showcasing a track record of leading complex corporate and service projects. You are a credible adviser with high levels of interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with senior officers and Members. What the Job Involves Your role involves leading and managing strategies for the delivery of facilities building management and capital projects, as well as corporate health and safety, emergency planning, and business continuity. You will implement strategic oversight of FM operations, develop and execute the Council's capital program strategy, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities also include overseeing asset management, contracts, budgets, and performance measurement, along with providing strategic advice to senior leadership on property and safety matters. Skills Degree in Facilities Management or similar Professional accreditation (CIWFM or similar) Project Management qualification (PRINCE 2) IOSH or NEBOSH management qualification Significant public sector experience Experience in financial management and budget handling Strong knowledge of legislation and regulations Ability to manage cross-functional project teams High levels of interpersonal and advisory skills Experience in managing and developing FM teams and projects
