Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced Geography Teacher for a September 2024 start. The role is full time and is required at a Northampton secondary school. The school are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging teacher that has excellent classroom management as some of the classes can be challenging.
This position would suit an experienced teacher, or a Geography graduate who is looking to gain initial classroom experience; Highgate welcomes applications from candidates without formal teaching qualifications.
In order to apply for the role, you must be able to work full time, have a relevant UK teaching qualification and have experience working with secondary aged children.
Duties:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students
- Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation
- Assess and evaluate student progress to provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development and well-being
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Stay up-to-date with educational best practices and participate in professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Proven experience in teaching within a school setting
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students
- Effective classroom management skills
- Passion for education and a commitment to continuous improvement
