Who We Are:
Are you an inspirational middle or senior leader who is looking to develop further in school leadership? We are seeking a colleague who is passionate about getting the best for our young people and who will appreciate and understand their starting points. This is a small school with a big heart, and the students are committed to their learning and enrichment activities. We have recently had our Ofsted visit, and you are encouraged to read the positive report. There will be a 50% teaching commitment to this role which will include PSHE, Careers, and your specialism. The ability to teach maths, science, humanities, or PE would be advantageous. Our pupils range from Year 7 - 11 and follow a broad curriculum where afternoons are low demand.
The work we do is both varied and challenging, and as a trauma and attachment informed organisation, all staff are provided with extensive therapeutic training and support. Our closely triangulated approach places the child at the centre of decision-making, ensuring that education and therapy professionals, parents/carers, local authority teams, and, most importantly, our students can work together to secure outstanding outcomes for all.

As such, Compass Education is looking for a practitioner who shares our vision and can embody our ethos in every decision they make and every conversation they have, whether with students, parents, or professionals. The staffing structure around our family of schools means that the Deputy Head Teacher will be well supported, allowing them to focus on what is really important. The Regional Executive Head Teacher and Head Teacher will support decision-making and problem-solving, while admin and compliance teams are available to keep things running smoothly. You will work closely with a team of school leaders in similar settings across the region and the country, alongside a specialist Regional SENCO.

* Proven experience of implementing a creative and academically engaging curriculum which meets the needs of individual pupils, whilst maintaining high standards of education.
* Experience of effective working with hard-to-reach or disengaged families.
Benefits And Rewards:
* Staff laptop and mobile phone.
* Competitive salary.
