About The Role
Morrison Water Services is recruiting for a Project Manager to work on our Welsh Water contract in Wales.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of all operational activities related to the installation, maintenance, and management of progressive metering. This role will ensure projects are delivered safely, and on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining strict compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. The Project Manager will lead on-site teams, support with managing customer communication, and drive continuous improvement in operational processes and performance.
As The Project Manager Your Responsibilities Will Include
1. Project Planning and Execution:
o Develop and implement detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments for progressive metering projects.
o Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely completion.
o Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective project delivery.
o Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., logistics, procurement, technical support) and external stakeholders (e.g., customers, contractors) to ensure seamless project execution.
2. Safety Management:
o Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations and company policies on all project sites.
o Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
o Provide safety training and briefings to on-site teams.
o Investigate and report all safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
3. Process Management and Productivity:
o Develop and implement standardised operational procedures and workflows for progressive metering activities.
o Monitor and analyse team performance and productivity, identifying areas for improvement.
o Implement process improvements and best practices to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
o Utilize data and metrics to track performance and identify trends.
4. On-Site Behaviour and Team Leadership:
o Lead and motivate on-site teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
o Ensure teams adhere to company code of conduct and professional standards.
o Provide regular feedback and coaching to team members.
o Manage team scheduling, resource allocation, and performance evaluations.
o Address and resolve any on-site conflicts or issues promptly and effectively.
5. Customer Communication and Relationship Management:
o Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding progressive metering projects.
o Provide clear and timely communication to customers regarding project status, timelines, and any potential issues.
o Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
o Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
o Ensure on-site teams display a professional and customer centric attitude.
6. Device Management and Compliance:
o Ensure all progressive metering devices are installed, maintained, and operated in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
o Manage device inventory and ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
o Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure device compliance.
o Maintain accurate records and documentation related to device management and compliance.
o Stay up to date with relevant industry regulations and standards related to progressive metering.
7. Reporting and Documentation:
o Prepare and submit regular project reports, including progress updates, performance metrics, and financial summaries.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
o Document and report any deviations from project plans or compliance requirements.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
* Proven experience in project management, preferably in the utilities or metering industry.
* Strong knowledge of progressive metering systems and related technologies.
* Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools.
* Valid driver's licence.
