Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.28 an hour; this increases to £15.41 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location and skills.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too.
Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As a Shift Leader, you’ll oversee the store from the shop floor and strive to make things better for customers, colleagues, and communities every day.
As a Shift Leader you’ll:
1. Work in a fast-paced retail environment.
2. Take ownership of running duty shifts, coordinating the team to deliver a clean, well-stocked store.
3. Be there for customers, ensuring they leave the store satisfied.
4. Look for ways to improve service, including coaching your colleagues.
5. Guide and support your colleagues in-store.
6. Maintain an understanding of store performance and assist managers in delivering improvements.
7. Lead from the front and set a great example for your colleagues.
You will be responsible for:
1. Coordinating the store team to deliver a great shopping experience.
2. Supporting your colleagues with daily priorities.
3. Opening and closing the store safely.
4. Being the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of a manager.
5. Ensuring the store is always clean and well-presented.
6. Supporting managers to coordinate events.
7. Contributing to a great team atmosphere.
8. Providing exceptional customer service.
9. Keeping the team informed on communications.
10. Staying knowledgeable about store performance.
11. Coordinating store improvements.
12. Following health and safety procedures.
13. Recognizing and celebrating colleagues for great service.
