About the Role Our client, a well-known food manufacturer, is looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team. In this role, you will work closely with the wider operations team to implement and maintain health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with legislation and promoting a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice on health and safety legislation, ensuring the business remains compliant with current and emerging regulations. Work closely with all departments to integrate health and safety measures into daily operations, ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Maintain and improve health and safety management systems, with a particular focus on ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. Develop and deliver training sessions for employees and managers, ensuring a strong understanding of health and safety responsibilities across the business. Carry out risk assessments, audits, and workplace inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the business, driving engagement and accountability. Support incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and appropriate preventative measures are put in place. Lead regular health and safety meetings and contribute to internal communications such as toolbox talks and briefings. Work with leadership teams to continuously improve safety performance and maintain a focus on reducing workplace accidents and injuries. Support corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives by contributing to health, safety, and well-being strategies. Essential Requirements NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification. Strong knowledge and experience of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. Experience working in a Health & Safety role within an FMCG manufacturing environment is preferable. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence and promote a positive health and safety culture. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. A proactive approach to continuous improvement and best practices.
