The Regional Support Team is looking for the right person to enable the delivery of successful outcomes as part of a team ensuring that DIO meet the high standards expected of a government body, accountable for ensuring adherence and conformity with all agreed DIO, MOD and Government processes and procedures. The objectives of the role cannot be delivered within reduced hours or through job share, the role entails the management of a high volume of outputs which can entail a consistent single point of contact and rapid turnaround for resolutions due to safe and legal compliance and potential risk to lives. As the Senior Assurance Manager for Hard Facilities Management (HFM), you will manage and develop others; working with them to assure compliance relating to policy, instructions and guidance. Taking action to improve compliance, operational efficiency, and the policy framework. Recording and managing risks and issues up the Governance chain, regularly collaborating closely with DIO and contractor teams. Providing motivation, engagement and support; recognising the contribution that individuals make to DIO and encouraging a working culture which promotes a healthy, safe and inclusive environment, prioritises people's development and supports smarter ways of working. Strive to build strong collaborative, professional working relationships within your team, across DIO & the wider MOD, to provide the continued level of support needed across a diverse estate in support of Defence. Leading development of stakeholder management and analysis activities for the team and, cultivate a strong working relationship with the contractor; engaging with other areas outside that of Contract Quality, including the Helpdesk, Fraud & Security and Health & Safety to ensure this. Actively Assuring performance delivery of core services against contractual responsibility and internal quality procedures in-line with policy, statutory legislation, Health, Safety and Environmental standards. This will include managing and conducting contract assurance, compliance and relevant internal audits, inspections or quality assurance requirements defined in the contract. Developing new resolutions with collaborators while ensuring compliance with extant policy. Supporting and carrying out joint management process management reviews, hosting and assisting external assurance organisations to undertake their 3rd party accreditation. Provide professional advice and assistance as necessary, be responsible for preparing briefing guidance to support the effective delivery across the Region. Providing Regional advice and guidance to DIO personnel in respect of Assurance matters; delivering in house training or support where required to increase HFM assurance awareness. Develop and improve the quality of DIO Data and Information holding, providing accurate information available to support decision making. Delivering 'in house' training or support where required to increase awareness, develop understanding and utilisation of relevant tools to maintain effective and cohesive action across staff at all levels. A full UK driving licence will be advantageous as the Region is geographically dispersed, and the successful candidate will be site based with a requirement to travel to different locations to fulfil the role successfully and effectively, including occasional national travel.
