Job summary An opportunity has come up for a midwife to join our antenatal clinic team on a 12 month secondment. The Senior Midwife in the Antenatal Clinic plays a key role in leading and supporting the provision of high-quality, evidence-based antenatal care to pregnant women. This role includes direct clinical care, leadership of midwifery teams, multidisciplinary collaboration, and contribution to service improvement and staff development. Main duties of the job Promote a friendly and welcome atmosphere for both team members and patients. Be courteous, helpful and supportive to patients and staff at all times maintaining the values and behaviours ethos within the Trust. To co-ordinate the clinical activities within the antenatal clinic. Participate in meeting government activity targets. To inform the Midwifery Matron about conditions in the clinic and to ensure that appropriate use is made of midwifery and medical time. Plan and compile duty rotas to ensure appropriate use of midwifery resource. Deputise for the antenatal Matron as required and support in the Leadership and management of the antenatal maternity services.
