We are seeking a driven, client-focused Financial Accountant (Practice) to join a well-established accountancy and business advisory firm based in Shepperton, Surrey. This fully office-based role is well-suited to a part-qualified professional (AAT Level 4 or ACCA) looking to broaden their exposure to a wide range of clients and financial responsibilities in a dynamic practice environment.
Position Details:
* Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
* Location: Shepperton, Surrey, with occasional travel to the West Horsley branch
* Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 (dependent on experience)
Location & Transport Note
While Shepperton is not in a remote area, public transport options can be limited. Having a valid driving licence and access to a car would be highly beneficial to ensure a more convenient commute, especially when visiting the West Horsley branch.

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare statutory financial statements, management accounts, and VAT returns for a diverse client base
* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, providing insightful recommendations to clients
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and deadlines
* Reconcile accounts, conduct variance analysis, and assist in year-end close procedures
* Maintain strong client relationships, acting as a reliable point of contact and advisor
* Embrace new technologies and process improvements to enhance efficiency and client service
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualifications: Part-qualified in AAT Level 4 or ACCA, or on track to complete qualifications within six months
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice environment, with exposure to financial reporting and compliance
* Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero and Sage; strong MS Excel skills
* Communication & Organisation: Excellent communication, organisational abilities, and keen attention to detail
* Professional Development: A proactive attitude towards continuous learning, personal growth, and knowledge-sharing
* Driving Licence: Having a valid driving licence and access to a car is highly beneficial due to limited public transport options
